Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 July 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of websites and paid services operated under the brand Arisecore Taiji Academy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.

1. Operator

Brand: Arisecore Taiji Academy Legal entity: Datong Tai Chi Academy Ltd. Registered in: Saskatchewan, Canada Contact: [email protected] Sites: arisecore.org · arisecoretaiji.com · datongtaiji.com and related subdomains.

2. Services

We provide educational Taiji content, optional paid course packs (VOD), live or subscription access, workshop information, and related training tools. Content is practice- and culture-oriented. We may improve, change, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where required.

3. Accounts & access

  • Your responsibilities

Keep login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.

  • Personal use only

Paid access is personal and non-transferable. Do not share accounts, invite links, or signed playback URLs that unlock paid media.

  • Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, fraud, security risk, or material breach of these Terms, where permitted by law.

4. Purchases & payments

  • When access is granted

Paid access is granted after successful payment (typically via Stripe Checkout or Payment Link). Course packs, live/subscription products, and workshops are separate SKUs; stacking follows what is stated on program pages.

  • Payment processor

Card and many online payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVV on our servers. We receive payment status and identifiers needed to grant or revoke access.

  • Pricing & taxes

Prices are as shown at checkout. Applicable taxes may be added depending on your location and our tax settings. Currency is as displayed at purchase (often CAD for Canada-facing offers).

5. Refund Policy

This section is our standard refund policy. For a specific workshop or event, the rules published on that registration page or in written confirmation take priority over the workshop defaults below.

  • A. Digital course packs (VOD)

Once access has been granted and the purchased content is available for normal playback, purchases are generally non-refundable, subject to the following. Within 3 days of purchase, if the content has not been used, you may request a refund. We will refund the amount you paid less non-recoverable Stripe processing and refund-related fees (so the net amount returned may be slightly less than the checkout total). “Not used” means you have not substantially consumed the paid media (for example, you never opened playback or only failed to start the player). We assess this case by case using our access and delivery records. We will also refund or remedy where we fail to deliver the purchased access after reasonable verification, or where applicable consumer law requires it. When a refund is issued, we may revoke the related access.

  • B. Subscriptions & live access

Cancelling a subscription typically stops future renewals. Fees already paid for the current billing period are generally not refunded, unless required by law or we cannot provide the service for that period. Clear mis-orders or duplicate charges reported within 48 hours of the charge may be refunded (less non-recoverable processor fees where applicable). Duplicate charges or clear delivery failures will be corrected.

  • C. Workshops & scheduled events

Unless a specific workshop states different terms (those terms prevail): • 7 days or more before the published start: full refund on request; • fewer than 7 days before start, or after start: no refund; we may offer a transfer or credit to another date at our discretion when seats allow. Always check the registration page or written confirmation for that event first.

  • D. How to request a refund

Email [email protected] with: order email, approximate purchase time, product name, and a short reason. We aim to respond within a reasonable time. Please contact us before opening a card chargeback so we can fix billing or access issues directly.

6. Acceptable use

You may not scrape, bulk-download for redistribution, re-sell, publicly re-host, or reverse-engineer access controls for our media or services. Do not use the Site for unlawful purposes. We may suspend access for violations where permitted by law, and refunds may be refused in those cases.

7. Intellectual property

Site design, text, video, audio, graphics, trademarks, and teaching materials remain owned by us or our licensors. Purchase grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive licence to access the content you paid for — not ownership, and not a right to copy or redistribute.

8. No medical claims

Content, interviews, training materials, and any pose or sensor feedback are for education and practice only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek qualified professionals for health conditions. You practise at your own risk within safe limits.

9. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: • Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from use of the Site or paid content. • Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to a paid product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the twelve (12) months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including fraud, wilful misconduct, or death/personal injury caused by negligence where such limitation is prohibited).

10. Privacy

How we process personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (/privacy). By using the Site you acknowledge that policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Saskatchewan have non-exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer-protection law gives you mandatory rights in another forum.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date on this page will change. For material changes we may also notify by site notice or email. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
